Carla is a Hobart local with over 20 years of nursing experience, providing compassionate care to people in the disability healthcare settings. After completing her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Tasmania she has worked as a Registered Nurse in Tasmania in a diverse range of nursing specialities including Acute Care, Disability and Aged Care, Community Education and Vocational Training & Assessing.
Carla’s enthusiasm and reassurance expertly builds trusting working relationships and balances a person focus with a professional approach to all the services she pursues. Her role at Watson & Blanch involves providing specialised care planning and training service in the disability sector as an NDIS provider.
Carla has a strong interest in the primary health care and feels passionately about empowering support workers and participants. She is an enthusiastic trainer focusing on promoting learners to manage the range of healthcare issues pertaining to people with disabilities. She enjoys working collaboratively with participants, families, medical and allied health providers and other disability service providers to achieve the best outcomes possible.

Cristina completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Sydney University and has over 20 years of experience working in NSW and Tasmania. She has a diverse experience in nursing including acute care, aged care and mental health.
During this time Cristina developed a strong passion to work with intellectual and developmental disability.
Cristina is an energetic researcher committed to providing care plan development and training to ensure a high quality of person focused care is provided in community settings. Her innovative approach ensures the specific and varied needs of individuals are met. She has fundamental knowledge and skills relevant to intellectual and developmental disability.
Cristina recognises the need for a holistic approach to healthcare, her expertise and dedication enables her to establish rapport quickly and easily. She promotes effective interprofessional and interagency relationships, this is integral to promote optimal care. Cristina actively participates in a constructive manner to meet desired outcomes for individuals, families, and disability service providers.
Yan Nicholas
Administrative Operations
Yan joined the Watson and Blanch team on a part-time basis in February 2022. She has worked in an administrative role within the disability and aged care sectors since 2013. Yan is dedicated to helping the administrative operations of the business run smoothly. She also looks forward to getting to know our valued participants, families, and other service providers. Outside of work, Yan enjoys spending with her family including her two young children who keep her on her toes.
